Welcome to your new Sunday ritual, where we dive into one word that will guide and inspire us throughout the upcoming week.
Every Sunday, we’ll pick a word—a concept, an idea, a feeling—that can set the tone for how we approach the week ahead. Whether it's something we want to cultivate, focus on, or simply remind ourselves of, this word will be our intention for the week.
Okay, it’s Sunday... and if you’re anything like me, you’re already eyeing the week ahead with a mix of excitement and dash of dread.
It's Christmas week. The time of year when we’re expected to be merry and bright... while also juggling a million things, shopping for gifts, and pretending like we’re not about to lose it. 🙃
This week’s word is “Refuel" - to provide with additional fuel.
And yes, I know you're already thinking: “But I’ve got a million things to do!”
But here’s the reality — if you don’t take a break now, you’ll hit Christmas Eve running on fumes, wondering where your holiday cheer went.
So, before you let the stress of the season take over, let’s get real. You need to refuel.
And no, I don’t mean another holiday cookie (although... yes, please). I mean actually giving yourself permission to rest and recharge.
Trust me, your future self will thank you.
How are you going to refuel this week? Here are some suggestions:
🧘♀️ Take a 5-minute break for some actual quiet time (no, scrolling doesn’t count).
🌿 Step outside for a walk — the fresh air is still free, even in December.
✋ Say “no” to anything draining you and “yes” to the things that fill you up.
🍽️ Nourish your body with real food (not just leftovers and sugar cookies).
Let’s be honest — we can’t be our best selves (or our jolly selves) if we’re running on empty. So, let’s ditch the idea that we have to go non-stop this week.
Because you’re no good to anyone if you're running on fumes.
