Photography by Justin Sienkiewicz

Meet Gina Quinn, LCPC, at Stronger Therapeutic Counseling Services in Batavia, Illinois.

Gina is an advocate for talking about and unpacking what happened that led to feelings of shame with her clients. On her Instagram feed, Gina speaks candidly about self-care, and how being mindful of your needs is not always a day at the spa.

Gina will be training to be an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist with the EMDR Institute to become a certified EMDR therapist in 2023. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR was developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in 1987 to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) by

  • Allowing the brain to process trauma and resume the natural healing process

  • Working through painful memories and helping the body and brain recover from the effects of trauma

Training in EMDR will allow Gina to thoroughly support her clients with trauma, grief, and addiction recovery and guide them on their way to recover from traumatic and PTSD symptoms.

Gina is especially passionate about working with individuals who are experiencing:

  • Grief and Loss of a Loved One

  • Loss Due to Miscarriage

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Substance Abuse

  • Recovery

  • Trauma

  • Relationship Issues

  • Self Esteem
