The Wildflower Project
The Wildflower Project through MDW Cares is a year-round program for teenage girls in Kane County looking for a different way to learn, connect, and grow.

Using gardening as a foundation for connection, participants move through the natural cycles of planning, planting, tending, and harvesting while building confidence, friendships, life skills, and emotional resilience in a low-pressure, supportive environment. The program combines hands-on learning, intergenerational mentorship, mental health-informed support, and experiences with local farms, small businesses, and community partners.

Planning and recruitment begin in Fall 2026, with the first full program cycle launching in October 2026.

The Perimenopause Posse
Perimenopause is weird. You don't have to figure it out alone.

The Perimenopause Posse is a welcoming community where we laugh, vent, learn, and navigate this season of life together. Join us twice a month for real conversations with women who get it, plus quarterly talks from local experts who can help answer your questions and provide practical guidance.

Details: Meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month at 6:30 PM at House of 423 in Geneva

The Essentials Exchange
The Essentials Exchange began with a simple question: What happens when someone can't access a basic necessity?

Our first campaign is to focus on increasing access to menstrual care products throughout Kane County. But we also recognize that community needs change over time.

As we build relationships with schools, nonprofits, healthcare providers, social service agencies, and community members, we are listening closely to the challenges people face.

The Essentials Exchange exists to help neighbors support neighbors by connecting community resources with real, identified needs. As those needs evolve, so can we.
